I began Sustainable Health Choices (SHC) with Miriam Biber in 2007, emphasizing the connection between the health of communities and individuals.

Therapeutic Massage
Massage strokes are used to lengthen, spread and separate muscle groups, and pressure is often slow and deliberate. This type of massage is commonly referred to as ‘deep tissue’. Kammaleathahh draws from trigger point therapy; isometric and passive stretching; and myofascial techniques. Her work aims to help you feel better with long lasting results.

Prenatal Massage
Techniques used are based on the Claire Marie Miller, Nurturing the Mother Prenatal/Postnatal Program, using Swedish massage strokes; polarity therapy holds, reflexology, and deep tissue techniques (depending on the trimester). Cupping
Cupping is a method of applying acupressure with cups by creating a vacuum on the patient’s skin to dispel stagnation — stagnant blood and lymph, thereby improving qi flow. The skin and muscular/connective tissue is drawn into the cup. The cups are moved slowly in the area or will be stationary, depending on the desired outcome. Cupping at SHC massage is mainly recommended for the treatment of soft tissue pain, chronic cough, and has great benefits for clearing lung congestion.

Who's Behind SHC Massage?

I am a Kentucky and North Carolina licensed massage and bodywork therapist. My work is centered in compassion, safety, and relief as I believe this is the foundation of high quality health care. My job is to help alleviate your pain and the imbalances in your soft tissue through myofascial release and other therapeutic techniques. As a Sustainable Health Choices practitioner I want to offer services that truly support people and larger communities to live in a more harmonious, cooperative, and vibrant world.
